Gay Bars in Jersey City
The most popular Jersey City gay bars are located in the vibrant area between the Historic District and the Exchange Place business district. As of 2021, there are only two official gay bars in Jersey City. A couple of others host LGBT-friendly events.

Check out these two popular spots below. Afterward, I’ll mention a couple more New Jersey gay bars that aren’t too far away from central Jersey City.
Six 26
Six 26 is such a fantastic gay bar in Jersey City for a fun night out in style. They have an adorable rooftop, too! The bar has modern and colorful lighting and a well-designed interior
Expect a little bit of a pub vibe with a comfortable lounge feel. This place is everything you could want from a local gay bar.

Drag performances are a mainstay at Six 26. Friday shows are at 11 PM. On Saturdays, they host fun drag brunches, usually from 2 PM to 4 PM. And no matter what day of the week, you can count on some cheap drink specials.
Pint
Pint is another popular Jersey City gay bar, prized as a relaxed local gay hangout. While they’re a gay bar, they mainly brand themselves as an American craft beer bar.

The bar isn’t as flashy but instead offers a tavern feel filled with handsome bartenders. I mean, they’re insanely cute. See for yourself on Pint’s Instagram page
Fun events at Pint include Bearly Bingo, Martini Mondays, and special parties like Tape Takeover and Beards and Butts. This gay bar is a spot you can’t miss!
Jersey Social
Jersey Social isn’t exclusively a gay bar, but they host some of the best drag shows in Jersey City each Sunday. When the weather is warm, drag queens will take to the wide-open sidewalks entertaining everyone having lunch in the bar’s outdoor seating.

Getting to the gay-friendly Jersey Social is pretty easy no matter where you’re coming from. The bar is just of 14th Street (I-78), the main thoroughfare in northern Jersey City. If you’re coming from New York City, the bar is just a few minutes’ drive from the Holland Tunnel exit.

Gay Bars Near Jersey City
If you’re open to checking out gay bars in some neighborhoods nearby Jersey City, here are a few spots totally worth a visit.
Vale Todo Nights
Vale Todo Nights is a gay bar in Union City, just a 15-minute drive north of central Jersey City. They’re known for amazingly friendly service and an awesome selection of music.

The local neighborhood has a heavy Latin influence, and you’ll definitely experience some of that flare at Vale Todo.
Everyone loves the drag shows at Vale Todo too. Expect dancing, go-go dancers, drag queens, and a decent crowd by 11 PM.
Club Feathers
Up in the town of River Edge, Club Feathers is a spacious New Jersey gay club that draws locals from all over the state. Fantastic, talented drag performances, an energetic local crowd, and welcoming staff make this gay club a lovely place to spend an evening.
Weekends draw much larger crowds, especially given that Club Feathers is just about the only gay nightlife venue this far north in New Jersey. Check out the video below to see one of their drag performances.
After facing pandemic-related hardship, Club Feathers has asked for community support to avoid closing down. While they’ve reached a big chunk of their goal, you can still contribute to the Support Club Feathers GoFundMe.
