6 Destinations with the Best Gay Resorts
Gay resorts are magical, liberating places where LGBT travelers can relax, be themselves, and easily make new friends.
They tend to be in warm-weather destinations where everyone can enjoy the outdoors, relax by the pool, and show off their swimsuits in the sun.

Below are six destinations where you’ll find some of the best gay resorts in the world.
For each destination, I’ll mention a few of the most popular resorts for gay travelers and provide links to some of wolfyy’s more extensive location-specific lists of gay resorts.
Palm Springs, California
Palm Springs is the most popular gay resort destination in the world. In this Californian desert town, it seems like there’s one around every corner!
They come in all shapes and sizes. No matter what type of traveler you are, there’s a gay resort in Palm Springs that will match your preferences.

You’ll find relaxing, ultra-luxury gay resorts, affordable resorts known for cruising, and every combination in between, including nearly a dozen clothing optional gay resorts.

CCBC Resort is the most popular local gay resort for cruising. Staying here is affordable and always a fun time. They also host sexy parties and events quite frequently.

Twin Palms Resort is Palm Springs’ newest gay resort, recently opening in late 2022. This property is super modern, has gorgeous views, and the rooms have enormous bathroom suites!
Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Puerto Vallarta is home to Mexico’s most popular gay resorts. As one of the world’s classic gay destinations, every gay traveler should experience a trip here, especially if you love circuit parties and gay bars.

Gay resorts in Puerto Vallarta range from inexpensive budget accommodations popular with groups of partiers to luxurious and serene hideaways where you can experience the region’s lush tropical beauty.

Almar Resort is Puerto Vallarta’s best gay resort. It’s a luxurious property connected to the iconic Mantamar Beach Club, well-known for its beachfront glass-walled pool and being directly in front of the gay beach.
On the roof of Almar Resort, The Top Bar is a gorgeous and popular hangout for gay travelers in Puerto Vallarta.

Amaria Villas may be a lesser-known gay resort in Puerto Vallarta, but they’re quickly becoming one of the best as they continue to impress guests and receive stellar reviews. They offer more of an intimate, secluded getaway option for gay travelers.
Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, Spain
The largest gay resort destination in Europe is Maspalomas, popular as a convenient tropical getaway during the winter months. Maspalomas is the hub of gay life in Gran Canaria, the largest of the Canary Islands.
With picture-perfect weather all year, it makes sense why a ton of gay resorts exist here. Maspalomas has something for every type of gay traveler.

You can book a local gay resort to attend one of the town’s two pride festivals, explore the iconic dunes, enjoy local gay bars, or just relax poolside with plenty of other gay tourists nearby.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Gay travelers are particularly fond of Fort Lauderdale’s clothing optional gay resorts, many of which are guesthouse-style accommodations.
They’re scattered in different parts of the city, so you can choose accommodations near the beach, in the gay area, or somewhere in between.

I’ve been to Fort Lauderdale a bunch of times and always keep wanting to go back. With a ton of gay nightlife and even more gay resorts, there’s always a new experience waiting.
